I Corinthians 1:21 – For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
II Timothy 4:2 – Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
At Temple Baptist Church, Preaching the Word of God is still the main event that has the main emphasis. The whole worship service is centered on the preaching. Not because of WHO is preaching, but because of WHAT is being preached, the Word of God.
Many Churches have fallen away from Old Fashioned Preaching and are now counseling, teaching, and self-esteem speakers. But the Bible still puts the emphasis on preaching. When Christ started His ministry, He started it with Preaching, Mark 1:14,15.
We still preach the Old Time Gospel the Old Fashioned Way!
